It has been a while since I have time to post due to the busy sport show season. The fishing has definitely slowed down. The walleye's are biting less consistantly, but a few are still being caught on medium shiners, sucker minnows and tip ups. The depths are 6 to 24 feet.
Northerns are the most predictable right now. They are hitting both shiners, medium and large and sucker minnows on tip ups. Some nice ones have been caught.
Crappies are now starting to bite very well on some lakes. Lost Lake in St. Germain has a good bite going now. Some are also being caught on the Eagle River Chain. Tip downs are working.
The ice is over a foot thick on most lakes, but anglers are getting around easily on 4 wheelers and snowmobiles.
There is about one month of the gamefish season left this winter with it closing March 6th this year.
We will be attending the Milwaukee Musky Show February 11-13th. Hope to see everyone there, we will have some good rod deals and 2 big closeout bins filled with great lures! See you all soon!
