Good Evening Friends,
I am a long time reader, first time poster. First of all I would like to thank everyone that posts on the sight for the reports and entertainment. As a local I have had a lot of opportunities to fish the bays from Nelson's Bay to the Stonington Lighthouse. I do not fish as much as I have in the past, but I will post as much information as I can from this day forward.
Fished tonight on North East Flemish Cap(near the Gladstone Pier). Lots of weather, lots of fish! Not many takers though. Several quality marks that would respond to aggressive jigging, but would stall out right before the bite. My buddy and I only managed to land a sub legal a piece. All in all it was an entertaining evening with the Vex action and the balancing act I had to preform keeping my one man clam in position!!
