The board has little activity this winter, mostly due to the ice condition on Leech. This season has been one to forget. The lake for the most part has been almost impossible to drive on, even plowed roads are full of slush. Hopefully conditions will improve for the remaining ice season. I traveled south to the Florida Keys, what a trip, we caught several species of saltwater fish. If you have a chance to go south and fish in the winter the Keys are great.

Can't wait until may so i can start coming up, hopefully gas doesn't get too outragous. I can't wait so I can go broke filling up the truck and boat to chase some fish around. Oh well, a guys gotta do what guys gotta do.

Last report was about 14 inches. The pout festival was on land because many folks like to drive motorhomes etc on ice and it was thought to be too dangerous. Also the amount of folks who bunch up in popular areas was deeded to be unsafe. The real problem was the slush, colder weather has improved the conditions. Hopefully the perch bite will be good this spring.
