Anyone fishing shallow?

Coming in off the first yellow gate tonight I stopped to talk to a group who were fishing tipups in 6-ft of water. They had a ginormously fat perch and had a flag go off on a big sucker minnow when I was there (didn't get it).

Is anyone else fishing shallow and catching anything? How about in the shallow north end by the Days River?

Anyone?

yah theres a few of us fishing shallow,no walleye though,we have been getting some nice perch along with some fairly nice northern!
