Wheat's Bar Icefishing Tournament

Wheat's Bar will be holding it's 1st annual 2-man team icefishing tournament on Saturday, March 5th.

Start time is 7am, and you must be in line by 7pm. Scales open at 4pm.

All participants must be 18, and fish with a partner, (no singles allowed.)

Entry fee is $35 per team. Entry forms are available at Wheat's Bar, and Bay View Bait and Tackle. Entry deadline is Friday, March 4th. No entries will be taken the day of the event.

All prizes will be determined by the total weight of 2 fish for each category, (walleye and perch.)

All fish entered must be "moist." All frozen fish are ineligible.

There were 32 teams signed up for the tourney when I dropped off a couple entries after work tonight. No too bad of a turnout for a first time event.

There didn`t seem to be a lot of fish caught. 1st place for perch was 2 fish weighing just over 3 lbs. 1st place for walleye was 2 fish weighing just over 16 lbs. It was a combined weight of the 2 biggest fish.
