I got on the water for the first time this season at Prairie du Sac. One of my friends had an urge to put the boat in the water and invited me along. I had never been there before today, so it was one more spot to check out. Huge area below the dam. The dam itself is probably twice the width of Petenwell Dam and the generating station is at least four times the width.
A good sauger bite right now, but very few walleye. We boated about 20 fish with 2 being keepers. The size limit below the dam is 18" minimum for walleye, and 15" for sauger with a daily bag limit of three in total.
It sure was nice to get back in a boat again!
