Was wondering if anybody has one of these rods.I was thinking about getting one and was wondering if you could throw mag dawgs with this rod.

You can throw Mags but there will be some "lob" involved. Just so my statement is not taken in the wrong context, many top guides use the Big Nasty for Mags and some even throw Pounders with it but there is definitely some lob involved.

Thanks,that helps.I like stiffer rods so I think I will stick with my 8'6" for the dawgs.not a fan of the"lob" on a rod throwing heavy stuff.did you ever use the rod personally red?I would still like to get a 9' rod to throw everything else .I was going to trade in my premeire that I dont use for a lil discount on a legend tournament series

I own one and like a stiffer rod too but the extra length of the BNasty sure is nice for boatside movements which was the main reason I am having these 9'7" rods (with more backbone) custom made.
