It's been a l-o-n-g winter, but the forecast looks like things should start picking up within the next 1-2 weeks in respect to open water angling opportunities. The water temps. are still quite cold, and as such, the action has been spotty with mostly smaller males being caught. Mister Twister jigheads in lime/chart. or orange/chart., tipped with a fathead minnow, have been the most productive - as is typical in cold early spring walleye fishing. At this time of year it's important to keep safety first and foremost in mind!
Tight lines,
Joel
