Hello,

Lots of people are eager for ice-out Lake Trout, but it did not come as early as last year. Guessing.... maybe the first weekend in May and I will advise as it starts getting closer.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.... in the mean time, I'll try to keep the Lodge project moving along :-)

Hey Kevin, When did ice go out last year? On average what would you say is a normal ice out?

2010 was a very early ice out, April 8th. Normal is last week of April - first week of May.

Lake of the Woods will start going out well ahead of Kakagi (Crow) Lake... only places opening up so far are areas with moving water.

If the forecast holds up we are expecting a string of 50+ degree days and night time lows above freezing. Those temps will help :-)
