This spring saw cold temperatures and high water but that didn't stop us from hitting the Green Bay area in search of trophy walleyes. With numerous late nights spent wading, we caught hundreds of walleyes this spring. With the cold spring, it didn't seem like the big fish made a major push to spawn. It seemed like they would come through in minor pushes unlike other springs where we may have caught a dozen fish over 10 lbs. in one night this year we usually averaged 1-2 10 lb. fish per night. However, we also would catch tons of fish in the 18-21 inch range. Not a bad problem to have. I have enclosed some pictures from Easter Sunday evening and will post others tomorrow. The one fish was 9 lbs. 8 oz. and the other was 10 lbs. 2 oz.(sorry the pictures aren't the greatest. I was fishing by myself and had to ask someone to take them_ I also had a 10-11 lbs. fish so tired, she literally laid on my wader boot and rested there for over 5 minutes. Take a kid fishing.

See you on the water
