It's been 14 days since the ice went out on the area lakes and yet the surface water temp has risen to 51 degrees.
Everyone wants to know what the weather will be on opening day. Here's my forecast: Saturday, May 14th, 2011...look for mostly cloudy skies with a few short periods of sunshine. Clouds with rain (or that look like rain) will be present most of the day. Saturday's high will be 62. The overnight low will be 42. Here's a tip....Don't leave your rain gear in the cabin.
And a reminder to all our guests who will be coming in Friday and Saturday....I intend to have a LOT of premium Walleye Minnows, so please check out my supply before you head to town to buy bait.
