just got lowrance eliet5 loctor gps. any tips???

got a lowrance eliet5 locator
this is the new model not the first one to come out.
this is my first locator with gps any tips on what to do will help.
im pretty green at it right now.
cant wait to get it on the water.

Don't be affrad to learn the GPS system from trial and error. You can always go back and erase or start over when something goes wrong. I found that when I read the book and applied what I read I didn't remember how to do it the next time whereas when I just figured it out on my own I remembered it better.

The main thing with GPS is to know how far in or out you are zoomed.

hi ty have been playin with this new locator in my drive and
must say i am LOST.
i read the book 3 times and still cant make heads or tails of it.

You'll figure it out and love it in time. Just play with it on the water and you will find it's easier to figure things out without the book.
