Opening day was the best morning for us...then went down hill from there. Got skunked a few times. Was difficult at times finding the fish at the north end...didn't want to haul further to Gladstone where we could see other boats. Managed to find some at dusk on one of the reefs though, but generally are not a fan of fishing way into the night. Fished hard and had our limit 2 of the 5 days. I think a weather and wind change will help the bite at the north end again. They seemed to be getting more fussy as the north wind kept blowing and now finally stopping. South winds should push in more warm water and the fish too. Nice to see the bigger sizes this year and very few throw backs.
