With the walleye limit reduced to 2 can anybody recommend a fishing guide that specializes in panfish?

Thanks...Chuck

If its a feast you seek, I highly recomend the Snakey yet delicious northern pike of the TFF. Slightly anoying to eat, But as delicious as the walleye. Who's with me?

I have to say the northern are quite tasty - cold water months are the only time our group keeps them.

I've got to admit....

I've eaten more northerns than anything else out of the TFF. I eat the strip off the back, and give the side filets to the kids. I tell them to watch out for bones. ;)

There is a very easy way to remove the Y bones. The pictures in this article are good, although the guy kinda hacks the fish up. With practice, you'll have a nice looking filet and no bones. But it does take some practice! I'll be at Donner's from July 23 - 30. Free lessons and fish stories all week! BYON (Bring Your Own Northern) ;)

George,
I'll have to take you up on this offer we'll be up the same week.
I can clean panfish fine but tend to hack up the northern trying
to get the Y bone out. Videos are good but watching somebody fillet a fish in front of you works better for me. Love the fish stories see you at Donners.

Looking forward to it Dave! Now if we can just find some bigger northerns so this doesn't turn into an exercise in micro-surgery! ;)
