Wondering how opening weekend was at Canyon lake? Coming up June 10th. Any info is appreciated.

Well, opening was not too bad. Not the nicest weather but it was our long weekend so it has to rain on everyone out camping - happens every year.
For the little bit that was fished it went pretty well. They weren't too hot and heavy yet, probably still tired from the spawn but everyone caught some anyway. Lot's of nice 16 and 17" ones caught for the frying pan!
It has been picking up with even the daytime walleye bite. Still storming the last couple of days but looking at nice weather coming up.
Sorry pfessor, no one has fished for bass yet. We have been working pretty hard around here but maybe Robbie will get out there this weekend and try it. He did take his fly rod out last weekend in the canoe and didn't catch anything but caught 3 walleye on the regular rod.
