This is my first day in camp and the fishing was very good.
We started out fishing near camp and could not find many fish, the water temp was 50 when we stared this morning. Around 10 AM we worked our way down to french narrows. Where we found the bass in the rocks along the shoreline in about 3 to 6 ft. The best way to entice them into biting was with an 1\8 oz. jig and 4 or 5 inch grub tails in pumpkinseed or chartruese.
We then went to starter island and found a great walleye bite in 15 to 28 ft. of water with the bigger fishing coming from 15 to 20 ft. We used a combination of leaches and minnows with 1\8 oz. chartruses and gold.
By afternoon when we finished the water temp below the narrows was 53.
Thats it for today.
