I had a client out of Chief Lake on the 1st and I'd say he had the toughest weather to fish in that I've seen for quite some time. We had 30 mile an hour winds for the entire day with a lot of gusts much greater. Most spots were just unfishable. For a guy that has never caught a muskie I was hoping to get him on one but the stars didn't align. I think he only had three backlashes all day so that in itself was amazing in that wind. He had a shot at one but it got off right away after a quick headshake. I had one wake up on a spinnerbait but didn't commit. All I know is that I got completely soaked a number of times while driving from spot to spot. The best part was the wind was so strong that I was completely dry by the end of each spot. We still had fun and I think I was a little hoarse from yelling all day but no muskies to show.
