Went out on an inland lake up near highway 13 yesterday afternoon and did pretty good. The gills seem to be starting on the beds. We came home with 20 nice blue gills and a crappie. Missed and lost quiet a few also. All of the gills were female so im assuming they are just starting. I was severely out fished by my other half also.

I always get out fished when i have to bait another line too , then add a couple kids and you go from fisherman to untangling lines and baiting hooks and just enjoying the day.

I just got back from untangling and rebaiting for my son and girlfriend. Water temps are 75 at the Mine Ponds and the fishing is the same as it's been... loads and loads of fish (gills and bass), but nothing of any quality. I did catch a few bass about 13-14" on 5.5" swimbaits and had a Perch follow a swimbait that might have made 10". That perch was the best quality fish I saw all day...too bad he didn't bite.
