Had a grandpa and grandson out today for some fishing catching and bonding for 4 hours. They caught 10 bass biggest 17 inches, 3 northern pike biggest 36 inches, 4 walleyes biggest 17 ¾ inches and a few bluegills all released.. Fish were on the weed line in 12 feet of water. Some of the bass were caught on purple “the worm” and a 1/8th oz. sinker and both walleye and bass on night crawlers/sinker. The Pike were caught on slip bobber large suckers. A slow retrieve was the key today to keep the lines tight with all the goofy east wind. I enjoyed teaching these anglers the pleasures and skills of fishing today!
