My sweetheart and I hit the water for Father's Day for a few hours and we had a fun night of action! All I can say is musky fishing is a lot like football, a game of inches!!! My sweetheart missed a GIANT at boat side tonight, just as she was pulling her bucktail out of the water. She had done two good figure 8's, and all of a sudden this supertanker came out of nowhere! A second longer in the water, or if the fish went to eat a second earlier, and she would have been hooked up with a mid-thirty pounder!!!!!!!! Oh so close...
We saw three other fish from between 38" to 46", all on bucktails. Water temps are hovering around sixty-six to sixty-eight degrees, and the weed growth is trying to get going, but still a bit delayed on most area lakes. Kris missed her musky on a Natural/Nickel 700 Series Buchertail bucktail with a white trailer. Good luck on the water!
