Late this past week summer may have arrived... a few took a leap off the dock and Jenny and Amy have been swimming out to the diving dock. Early in the week the Kakagi was in the mid 50's still and now we are touching on 65 in the shallow bays.
Muskie opener week started great and ended pretty good. The middle part of the week was tough fishing. Biggest Muskie caught for the week was a 48", but every boat had bigger fish smacking the lures.... just didn't stick the hooks in them. Not expecting any more serious Muskie anglers for a few weeks.
Lake Trout bite has been good... Lake Trout John nabbed 6 in an couple hours of evening fishing. Lily (our Welsh Corgi) has decided she loves Lake Trout fishing, if you hear a dog barking excitedly on the lake, that would be Lily's way of bragging I have one on the line or in the livewell :)
Bass on Kakagi seemed to get pushed back early in the week, so not seeing much for bass on the beds... will see what hapens this week.
Northern Pike - Cedartree produced our biggest Pike of the year so far... a 41". Whitefish Bay Northerns include a couple 36" and a 38".
No one spent much time after Walleye this past week, but heard Chris at Mel's caught a couple 10 pound and 8 pound Walleyes from Miles Bay. Eventually we should be able to get some pictures from Chris.
Regards,
