We have been having some rough weather the last few days but the walleye fishing remains very good. We have been finding the best fishing both north and south. This has been the year of the big fish so far. There have been more big fish, 23 to 31 inch walleyes, caught this year than any other year I can remember.
We have been using jigs tipped with live bait and bottom bounces with crawlers.
The bass fishing still remains a bit spoty. Crankbaits in the crawfish colors will produce good fish if you are willing to work some areas to find them.
Northerns and musky fishing has been very tough. There are a few fish following but few that are willing to commit. Even with the change in weather the last few days the fishing still remains poor.
