Hello fishing friends and customers, We are pleased to inform you that Walleye fishing in the Western Basin of Lake Erie has been very productive. Both drift fishing and trolling has produced nice catches and on several trips limit catches. The month of July more Walleye were caught on a day to day than we have seen in several years. The reason we believe was cleaner water, lots of food from gizzard shad to emerald shiners a much shorter season for the may fly hatch and new applications for trolling. The locations have been from the near shoreline of 11 to 14 ft to the deeper water of 27 to 30 ft. We hope you can pass this information on to your fishing friends and give us a call to book your Charter. Also Yellow Perch has started to get very good anchoring using minnows. Limits for perch are at 30 per person per day. Give us a call at 419-262-9400 cell or 888-811-8077. Capt. Ron
