couple questions

Am new to the forum and going to be a first time on LOTWs. Had been going to cedar and decided this year to hit some big water. Picking up my brother in Des Moines. Question is, is it better to drive to international falls and then over to warroad, or is it better to take some smaller roads up by red lake to warroad?
Also, does the lakemaster lotw/rainy chip cover the nw angle around bay store?

Int'l Falls to Warroad or the back roads through Grand Rapids takes almost the exact same amount of time. Did both routes in July with only a few minutes difference. Int'l Falls to Warroad has less town and the road is in good shape. As far as the Map chips go some do and some don't.
