Another busy week at the lake. Good weather and good fishing overall. Walleyes were on the humps/reefs with the usual presentations producing both nize size and good numbers. Largest walleye released reported was 29".
Muskies were mainly on rock structure. Many chasing, not many eating. Again. A hawg that measured 52" was the big fish of the week. The best is still yet to come for muskie hunters, in my humble opinion.
Lake will be quieter starting this coming weekend (Aug 13) as families wind up summer vacations with kids activities, especially football ramping up. Many people back to school and work schedules that won't allow for as much lake time.
Absolutely one of the best times of year to be out there fishing is when there aren't that many other boats offering fish something to snack on.
Good luck all.
