Walleyes mostly on the rocks again this past week. Jigs were the most popular presentation. Minnows and leeches were the main baits used. Some wind made it tough to get out most weeks.
Muskies were mostly relating to rock structures, but were also found in some weedy stuff as well. most reports saying the fish were hitting bucktails retrieved quickly, while slower presentations didn't trigger strikes. Grinding a crank bait into the rocks was also effective. Good average size of fish seen, with several big girls spotted. Biggest fish of the week reported was 48.5".
A 21.5" smallie was caught by my buddy, Jake T, in a walk-in portage lake. The fish was released.
