Nine year old Zindrick Burns from Robins, Iowa, was here recently vacationing with his Family. His younger brother Oliver and his Mom were in the Lodge playing a board game and enjoying ice cream when Jodi received a text. Her Husband Andy was reporting that Zindrick had caught a 25 inch Walleye and they were on their way in to the docks. Zindrick's Walleye can be seen on the "Cover of our Home Page" where he proudly display's a t-shirt showing his school colors. This just happens to be the same Elementary School that I went to.....many years ago.
Fourteen year old Adam Lemke landed a nice 25 1/4 inch Walleye while fishing with his Dad recently. The pair landed at least five Walleyes that day and are enjoying time spent with many relatives here at Oak Haven.
Big and beautuful Cabin # 11 (built in 2004) is open all winter long for you outdoor enthusiasts. Fall foliage, fall fishing, winter ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, winter events at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, family reunions, etc., are just a few reasons to stay at Cabin # 11 when you come to Oak Haven in the off season. Please remember that Cabins # 1 through # 10 are open only during the summer from around May 1st to around October 1st each year.
We are now accepting Saturday to Saturday, 7-day Cabin reservations between Memorial Day week and Labor Day week, 2012. We encourage everyone to call and make your reservation soon as we continue to grow our business each year as people find out about Oak Haven Resort and Campground.
Clean, quiet at night and great fun all day long. Great kids events, two heated swimming pools, free use of paddle boats, canoes and life jackets.
Anglers....we have our own boat ramp, bait shack, electricity to boats, gas for boats...plus you have nine different lakes to choose from....while docked at Oak Haven.
