Headed over sunday afternoon for a quick one niter. Sunday pm fished about 430-915, boated 6 fish, 1 was a shaker, most 6-12#. Seemed to come on a variety of rigs from meat on copper to spoons on riggers and braid dipsys. Dont remember too many details at this time, but I don't think anything took more than one hit and I don't think we lost any fish. Fished from detour south to poverty 80-150 fow, most of our fish came near detour in 80-90. Lots of bait up there.
My good buddy Frank and I grabbed a few hours shuteye and hit it early Monday with another friend of mine. Out and setup in the dark, didn't go too long until we started getting hit and we had steady action til 10am when we quit with 15 kings. Lots of little ones, unfortunately, but it didn't dampen our spirits too much. Lots of action and fun. These little fish were crazy at the boat sometimes tangling us, breaking tangled lines, etc. I think I lost more tackle monday morning than I had on any trip where we caught bigger fish. Probably had 5 shakers, 5 what we call "megashakers" and 5 from 6-12#. Fished 60-90fow north of detour. The temp break had setup pretty nice about 40 down for 50 degree water.. We probably had 10 strikes we didn't boat. At one point we had a quad on but only boated 1 :( 2 of those fish were good size, I'm sure of it. Couple lines crossed and I lost my 7 color rig with my lucky mac muffin magnum which has been my best rig this year for consistency. Quite a lot of them came on riggers with swrs and spoons, the 7 color was hot before we lost it, 10 color took some as well, braid dipsys with rocket power and a slide diver with orange carbon were good. Bloody nose on rigger. We had a little trouble keeping Frank's slide diver away from my mag walkers, resulting in a hairball. Copper never went. Wire caught a couple with f/f but not many. Meat did not get hit.
Talked with one other boat, they had some bigger fish, looked like medium teeners. It was obvious we were on a school of little ones but we were getting the occasional decent fish and I just couldn't bring myself to leave fish to find (bigger) fish.
Had about 10 when I took this one...

I hope he was already dead when we dragged him thru the weeds...

Weird lamprey attatched right behind the dorsal fin. Never seen one like this before...
