Weeds?

OK, I have a simple question. What happened to the weeds? When we left on June the weeds were growing like gang-busters. We thought when we can back in late August, we would just be able to fish the edges.

What we found was alot of new growth and most of the heavy growth we experienced in June were gone.

Was it the continual high water, storms and warm water temps?

I'm not complaining about fishing over the tops of new green cabbage, but I've never seen weeds disappear like this. Or maybe my memory is shot!

We had a cold/cloudy spring so the weeds didn't come in strong. Then when the water temps went up they went up extremely fast so the weeds burned out instantly. Now most of the milfoil and coontail has died out leaving some thin leaf cabbage and broad leaf cabbage for cover.
