Hi everyone,
The sun was unbearable again today. I would rather have cold and cloudy. It was hot and sunny with no wind again today. The only waves were boat waves. The water temps were 73degrees up from 72 the day before. The fish were still active, but harder to find. Thier feeding window seemed to be shorter. Wound up with a bunch of Perch, Crappie, a Bass, and three Walleyes, all small. Caught all on jig and minnows, and all were released.
The pattern remains the same- deep wood. Find any drop off or hump in the 15-25 foot range that has wood cover. Look for hooks on your locator and if you see some, stop and fish. In my book "The Walleyemaxx System", I explain in detail how to find and fish the deep wood pattern.
I was motoring along and slowed down when I went by a boat and saw a lot of splashing. Thinking they must have a musky, I went over by them and asked if they had a musky. The guy yells back "no my wife caught a nice Northern." I had to get a picture when I saw her....err it. So all you guys can enjoy it. Now guys, she is holding a fish. Maybe hot and sunny isn't all that bad. The guy tried to revive it, but it died, so they kept it. the Northern measured a little over 32" and was real fat Figured it to weigh at least 8#.
Just a reminder that my book is selling well. To order your copy, click on this link. http://www.walleyemaxx.com/pages/walleyemaxx-book.php. thanks. Good luck fishing everyone.
