Weekend of 10/23

Pistol Pete and Muskie Matt,
Thinking about coming up the weekend of 10/23... Can you give some advice? Tyypically, we stay on LVD @ Sunrise. Will the water and ramps still be open? Any Musky Tournaments happening that weekend? Sucker bite? Are they available? Work the the deep hole on the South shore? Any other local or seasonal conditions we should consider? Any other lakes to consider (i.e., North Twin, Kentuck, etc...).

Water will be open. Ramps open but docks will probably be out. Tournaments are pretty much done. Suckers will be worth a try. They're available now but the supply is limited this year again. Hard to know what things will be like down the road. I suspect there will be some available but you may be limited on size. Prices right now are running about $6-$8 depending on the supplier and size. Yes, I think the deep hole on the south side of LVD would be a good choice. Since you'll be in that area Twin, Cisco Chain, Buckatabon might also be worth a look. Hope that helps.
