The temps continue to fall. We get a few spurts of warmer weather but the water temps are slowly falling. Last weekend we had water temps on one lake at 61 and in the afternoon we went to a darker flowage and the temps were 59. we had no action on suckers that day but we did manage to get some smallies and one small muskie. with the hard cold front that came in the fishing slowed. We caught the smallies of off deeper rock points using jigs and twister tails. We even managesd to pick up a walleye doing this. I expect the musky fishing to pick up very nicely as the weather stabalizeds into a normal fall trend. October is just around the corner and this is my favorite month to chase muskie. Slow the presentation down a bit and look for green weeds or start to move to the steeper breaking shorelines.
