It was quite cool and windy this morning, a typical fall day on the water. Dick from Oak Creek, WI joined me for trolling cranks. It did not take long for the action to heat up. The first fish was a large mouth bass, and it got better from there. At the end of 5 hours we boated 7 "keepers", 9 "shorties", 1-14" crappie, 1 perch, 1 white bass, 1 sheep head, 1 catfish, 1 northern, 1 musky, and the large mouth. That’s nine different species in 5 hours. This is what makes fishing Castle Rock and Petenwell so much fun! You never know what is on the end of the line until we get it to the net, and this is very typical in the fall.

Keep a tight line!!!
