On Mendota this afternoon. Thermocline is down to at least 42', water temp is around 59 to 60°F. The "magic" temp for turnover to start is 53°F (Below the thermocline is probably around 55°F right now). Lots of schools of perch, dropped a jig down in a couple schools and they were small. Also saw one Walleye and one Smallie if 40 FOW. Don't be afraid to hit the deeper water rock bars for Walleyes. Usually when I see them they're in a resting state in deep water like this, but a good fisherman/woman knows how to wake them up! :) Rick
