Sucker Rods/Reels/Line Recommendations

I am looking to buy a sucker rig only for sucker fishing. I have used my good rods and reels but recently read I may need to use a glass rod in very cold temperature to avoid potential problems. I was looking at an 8' glass rod and a okuma convector line counter reel. Some one also suggest Hi seas grand slam braid (80-100 lb). What is everybody using? Also, do you have a specific recommendation on a glass rod/reel/line. Thanks Rip

Use a glass rod and 100 to 130 pound line. The last thing you want to do is break line or a rod.
