Trout Stream on East Side of Castle Rock?

Has anyone fished the trout stream on the east side of Castle Rock? I believe it starts within the Castle Rock County Park, and ends just below the dam at the canoe launch.

Is is better to start at the dam and fish up the stream? Or better to pay the entrance fee at the camp site and fish down there?

Based on the lack of response, it doesn't seem like this is a very interesting fishing spot.

Funny - a while back I had read that this particular stream was a "high quality" trout stream. Either it is the best kept secret in the area, or someone forgot to tell the trout about it!
