Spent Saturday fishing the IMTT on Lake McMaster with partner Randy C. What a neat little lake in the Galesburg IL area! About 260 acres, 65' deep and gin clear with weeds and standing timber. Spent Friday pre-fishing with 5 follows and 1 shorty in the boat. Tournament day on Saturday was pretty much same conditions: high blue bird skies, water temps 63-65 with wind SSE 8-15. Randy and I could on muster 12 follows for the day with no hookups. Of the 12 follows though, 9 of these were legal sized fish for the tournament. Only 2 muskies were caught, a 39 and a 40, for the tournament. I was really disappointed due to the fact the team that boated the 39 was actually the fish Randy and I had up twice in the early morning and could not get the fish to commit and literally watch the team catch it as we were fishing a weed point about 100 yards away. Oh well, that is tournament fishing!
