For the past 3 years I've been fishing the flowage the 3rd week in June and have had good success. For the upcomming 2012 season I'll be a little later, june 16-23rd. Does anyone (Blue ?) have any historical data on when the mayfly hatch occurs ? Is it totally by chance and we've just been lucky or does it usually happen closer to July ?

I did a keyword search on this TFF forum, and the approximate dates were 6/26/2011, 6/10/2010 and 6/20/2009. That's as far back as it would go.

Looking back at my photos, I found most of my mayfly shots were taken around the 3rd week in June.

So what i'm finding here is that i've been up right in the middle of the hatch and it's not that big of a deal?
We've always seen a few floating carcasses but it was never that big of a problem. Cool.
