What a great day on "The Rock". I met Scott and Sally from Fox River Grove IL. at the ramp near Buckhorn Bridge just as the sun was rising over the State Park, what a pretty picture. Calm water, no wind, but a little nippy. Started off by the south tower and pulled 1 "shortie" right away. Then nothing , so we moved to the Boy Scout Camp and had the same results. Headed north to a spot I have on the old river channel and really hit the mother load. We finished the day at 12:15 with 12 "keepers", 23 "shorties", 1 slot fish, 5 big white bass, 2 crappies, 1 perch, and 1 carp.
This is one reason fall is my favorite time of the season.

Keep a tight line!!!
