October 23 (spider lake chain)

Had Matt and JJ for a half day today. Well we didn't catch anything but I would find later that would be the best part of my day. After they left I decided to head into the woods and check on a tree stand. While trimming some brush, I sliced my finger to the bone and took 6 stitches. Nice night. However dad called and told me he shot his first big buck with a bow. Looks in the photo to be an 11 pointer. That will help make my evening a little better. Water temps on spider where 46.

Pete as you saw from the pics (of not only my first big buck, but my first buck ever) the rack had points kinda everywhere. Tyler thought maybe a 12 or 13, we're cutting him up tonight. All I can say is between your finger and my lung shot there was a lot of blood witnessed by the Rich's that night.
