Water temps are falling, I had 45 deg in most places on the Chain yesterday morning, Lake Duroy was loading up with ducks and geese and had me thinking that I should try some waterfowl hunting again... I was fishing for musky and did ok. I put 3 hours in on the water missed one fish and boated a heavy 42 inch fish. I was watching some guys pull out crappie in the deeper parts of the lake. They were fishing slip bobbers with a crappie minnow. I also talked to some guys on Long that were getting a lot of small walleye on jig and minnow, they had a couple nicer fish in the livewell as well.
Attached is the 42" fish that I caught on a sucker hanging over the side of my boat. I usually have one set just a little below the water this time of year to pick up late following fish.
