Big Bay/DNR Boat

I've fished the bluffs on east side of Big Bay two out of the last 3 weekends. The fishing was good one day and so so the next day catching smallies on sucker minnows both weekends. I've fished Big Bay a number of times over the years and never noticed the good sized DNR boat checking the nets in the water. Does anyone know what the DNR guys are checking for? I saw the boat on both weekends I was on Big Bay.

That's probably their commercial enforcement boat. Lots of whitefish netting going on at this time of year. Lots of "issues" with a couple of the netters over there, as well.
