This could be a new record but I am just waiting for official verification.

The current NY state record is 33lbs 2oz. This fish is supposed to be bigger than that?

Not according to the blurp that came with the photo........suppose to be 25lbs. and somehow a record of some type. This is all I know (or don't know).

Are the inland records separate from the GLakes records?

One of my carpenters just got back from a week on Oak Orchard with tales of catching Brown trout 12-15 pounds and I thought he was BS'ing me. Maybe not!

I haven't been to Oak Orchard in about 10 years, but that place will ruin you for fishing for small trout. I landed a 29 inch plus trout there that went 14.5 lbs, place is crazy if you catch it when the run is good. The guy at the Oak Orchard Fly Shop said that 20 pounders are not uncommon.
