Sighted in...

Hunting season is coming fast so I thought I better get my handgun sighted in. If you have never used a handgun for hunting you should try it It is awesome. Here are a few pics of my sighting in today. The revolver in the pic is a Taurus Raging Bull in a 44 magnum. The scope is a 2x6 Bushnell. The target was at 50 yards. The last pic was 50 yards also doing rapid fire.There are six shots in each target.

Nice. I started carrying my 357mag last year, in addition to my rifle. I'm limiting myseld to 30-35 yards, using iron sights. My groups are similar to your last target at those distances. Hope I see a shooter this year. 44 would definitely be better for deer...maybe I need a new gun? :)

DooFighter...When I was looking for a handgun for whitetails I was looking at a 357 magnun. The guy at the gunshop said it would be good, but limited to around 50 yard shots. He said if I were to go with the 44 mag. I could easily do 100 yard shots so my choice was made there and then. I know my handgun would be dead on at 100yds. My first deer two years ago was shot at 53yds and last years was at 50yds.

The 44mag did it's job. I shot a 8pt. on the 16th. at 50 yds. He didn't go far. maybe 40 yds. It's a rush to take a whitetail with a handgun. If you haven't tried it...You should.
