The bay behind our shop is froze over!! Not enough to walk on but its frozen.

Walked out about 5 feet from shore tonight back in the bay. Snow coming down with about 1.5 inches on the ground. Warmer temps next week could put an end to the ice.

Well with temps in the single digits last night ( Tue. ) we are making ice again. I would think the bays should be safe? by Saturday. We will have to watch the weather for the weekend, calling some snow coming in, could be a big one. We do not need that with the ice conditions now.

Not much more to report today on the ice conditions, the weather guys are reporting up to 6 inches of snow on Saturday.

Making ice now! 2 below zero last night, hope the snow holds off for a few days but the weatherman is now saying 3 inch Saturday and 4 -7 inches Saturday into Sunday.

It sure would be nice to get a year where the snow would give our lakes a chance to make some good ice instead of this crud. Certainly want to have the snow for our area, but to have a good base of ice prior to these kinds of dumps would allow snowmobile clubs to be able to lakes marked for the trail systems as well as us ice heads getting on safely!!!

Yea I want snow too but lets get some good ice first, its better for fishing and the snowmobilers.

Anglers are coming in and heading out on the ice in the bays. Reports are 2 inches of ice? Will keep posting updates on this thread as we get em!

Heavy wet snow coming down, about 4 inches on the ground as of 9 pm, not good for the ice that we have.

Still not much to report yet, Got about 6 inches of snow Saturday night. Walked out on the bay behind the shop and the ice is scary! Talked to a couple of guys heading out to Lake Alice this morning checking out the ice conditions will report any updates.
