We had a nice 3-day weekend on the water chasing muskies. I am not sure why the fish were so active with the bluebird skies and super chilly mornings but it makes me wonder if the magical moon had anything to do with it.
Here is a pic of the largest fish we netted.

I meant to ask this earlier.......
Did anyone else notice an increase in fish activity between 9:30am and 3pm over the weekend?

full moon weekend. Decreasing water level in areas I had luck last week along with decreased activity, bait scattered and not in tight schools this time. No activity for me.

I was about to start a thread asking if anyone has been fishing. We're dealing with the "Holiday Rush" here at the restaurant and I've been working 70 to 80 hour weeks since mid November. I haven't been fishing for 3 weeks. Awesome fish picture Red. You really got to love the sport to get into that frosty boat on those cold mornings.

There has been action in other places around this Full Moon period.40 Acre Shoal's yesterday morning Sal's boat caught & released a 56" X 28 1/2" Pig,on the Lower Niagara River Dave Martin caught & released a Fattie 50"er,don't know girth yet and at Welland Canal where it starts at Lake Erie a 54" X 26 1/2"er was caught. As soon as those who caught the fish post the pictures and stories about their catches I will then post the pictures I have of those fish here.UPDATE:I can now put up the picture of the Marion 54" X 28 1/2" Fattie! Dave Martin's 50"er is posted on my messageboard. Still do not have the ok to post the 54" X 26 1/2'er picture.
