Action Needed: The DNR Natural Resources Board is accepting comments until January 9th on a Stewardship grant application submitted by Dane County Parks to acquire land in the Village of McFarland that would provide parking and walk in ice fishing access to Upper Mud Lake on the Yahara chain of lakes.
It is very important that fisherman show their support for this project by emailing the DNR and stating how desperately public access is needed to this water body, especially in the winter. Emails should be addressed to Julie Sauer and sent to Elizabeth.Norquist@wisconsin.gov.
