Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous new year in 2012!
Here are some great "to do's" over the winter months..........
1. Check and replace all rusted split rings and hooks on your muskie baits.
2. Sharpen all your hooks so they are ready to go.
3. Have your fishing reels cleaned, inspected, repaired and lubicated by a qualified reel technician.
4. Check your fishing rods for damage and broken guides.
5. Spend some time at one of the many outdoor or fishing shows in your area.
6. Renew your fishing licenses and permits for the coming year.
7. Renew your US passport if due to expire in 2012.
8. Replace your fishing line on your reels. If you are using a superline, just reverse it onto another reel as the line on the bottom will now be on top and good for another season. I usually replace all line after 2 seasons of use.
9. Think about participating in a muskie tournament if you have never done one in 2012.
10. Join a muskie club.
