Fished from noon to 6 on Tuesday - nothing. Tried way down on the south end, weeds, rock points, anywhere from 4 - 10 ft. Had 2 drops on tip ups, but also tried jigging. Then went up by Bastine and fished around the little pine island, anywhere from 6 - 24 ft, nothing. Today I tried mid-lake humps on the big water and caught 5 bass, biggest 17.5. There is roughly a foot of ice, good travel by 4 wheeler or sled, very little slush. I was informed that "they've been killing the walleyes".....once again, I've been soundly defeated by "they". Big cloud bank rolling in when I left.
Oh yes, there is a long, low pressure ridge that arcs down and around the big water - would look like a backward "C" if you put it on a map over the big water. I crossed it down to the southwest toward lake ten.
