Slush, slush, slush....with recent snows and more and more traffic, lakes are getting slushy. Some so bad that fishing isn't a possibility. Hopefully the warmer temps the rest of the this week with settle some of it.
Walleyes are showing up along shallow weed edges(early in am), gravel and grass beds, and also in mud flats...the bite hasn't been hot and heavy, however some days are better than others. It really seems to be related to the current weather.
Pike are using very shallow weeds on some lakes(last Friday me and some friends got 18 fish from 20 to 29 inches in 4 to 7 feet of water), but on some lakes the pike are using rock and deep sand bars. These lakes are producing less action, but more quality fish.
Haven't fished panfish, so no report.
Check back later..
